On Your Side
The side wings raise your head to shoulder height, while the hollows make room for your arm. Your neck stays straight and your shoulder isn't squashed.
On Your Back
The C-shaped hollow cradles your head while the curved edge fills the space under your neck, so it isn't left "hanging" and you don't have to keep adjusting the pillow.

Give It a Few Nights.
A shaped pillow feels different from the one you use now. It usually takes 3 to 7 nights to get used to it. That's normal, and we'd rather tell you now.
Memory foam softens with body heat. In a cold room it feels harder for the first few minutes.
A new position can feel strange for the first few mornings. It usually settles within the week.
Some people sleep better on a classic flat pillow. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery, for unused pillows in their original packaging. Refund policy

A short night-by-night plan to get used to ZenButterfly. Tap a night.
Use the low edge (9-10 cm), even if you sleep on your side. Lie on it for 15-20 minutes before sleep. If it bothers you during the night, switch back to your old pillow.
On your back: head in the hollow, neck on the curved edge, shoulders off the pillow. On your side: head on the raised side, shoulder against the edge.
Turn the pillow 180° and try the high edge (12-13 cm). Side sleepers and people with broad shoulders usually prefer it.
Lie on your side and ask someone to take a photo from behind. Your neck should continue the line of your back. Head tilting up: use the low edge. Head dropping: use the high edge.
Stay on ZenButterfly for the whole night and put your old pillow away. Waking up once or twice to settle is still normal.
On a soft mattress your shoulder sinks in, so you need less height. On a firm one you need more. Switch edge if needed.

Take it out of the bag and let it air for a few hours. If it was compressed for shipping it needs time to regain its shape, and new foam can have a light smell that fades.
